Jason first began kickboxing in Kendall at Evolution Mixed Martial Arts in 2007. He is currently ranked as a purple belt in kickboxing.

In 2010, Raynold began his career as a Mixed Martial Arts fighter with Fight Time Promotions. He won two amateur MMA belts in the 155 pound division.

Raynold is looking forward to his next fight coming up this fall.

Personal Life:
When he’s not putting in hours of grueling work at the gym, Raynold works as a Grocery Manager at Publix. In his down time he enjoys playing basketball, practicing his target skills at the gun range, and spending time with his friends and girlfriend.

Fighting Style:
Raynold is an orthodox kickboxer. His greatest strength in the ring is his ability to use the jab to create distance, according to Evolution MMA Miami head kickboxing coach Dan Monteleone. “He [Raynold] uses his boxing a lot in fights. He has excellent speed and power and a tight defensive game,” says Monteleone.

Training Routine:
Raynold trains around his busy work schedule in mornings and late at night. In order to get his body ready for a fight, he practices kickboxing and boxing fundamentals, does boxing pad work, sparring, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, conditioning and wrestling. When he has to make weight for a fight, Raynold says he adds a lot of cardio to his routine, eats a lot of leafy green vegetables, and cuts water intake.

To mentally prepare himself for a fight, Raynold visualizes his success and his plan of attack. “[Before a fight] I think about what I’m going to do. I don’t like to talk about it, just be by myself and think,” he says.

Goals and Accomplishments:
Raynold holds two amateur MMA belts and boasts that he likes to fight everyone who stands in front of him. His goals for the future include becoming a kickboxing Miami blackbelt and to make it as far as he can in his fight career- ultimately becoming the best 155 pound fighter in the world.

“They don’t want to stand,” Raynold says about his opponents. “They want to go straight to the ground like little chickens. I wish they could just stand in the cage like a man.”

Raynold looks eagerly to the future when he can prove himself in his next fight. “I know that I’m the best, nobody wants to stand in front of me, and I can prove it this fall,” Raynold says.
